Report: Orban refuses to discuss Russian oil embargo at EU summit
MOSCOW, May 24 (PRIME) -- Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orban believes it is counterproductive to discuss sanctions against Russia at the next E.U. summit because no consensus has been reached, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday citing a letter to European Council President Charles Michel.
The discussion will reveal the internal disagreements without providing a real chance for their solution, Orban said. He also said that Hungary cannot support the sanctions unless it receives more information about financial aid in case Budapest refuses to buy Russian oil.
